Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities are included?

Our amenities include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, hairdryer and a fully equipped kitchen, including cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Note: we do not have a washing machine or tumble dryer in the house, because of space limitations. 

How many people can the house accommodate?

Currently we have set the limit to 6 people, that is two people per bedroom. However, there is a fourth bedroom available, that we the owners use ourselves when we stay there. it is possible that all four bedrooms could be provided but we still want to limit the amount of people to 6 not 8.

Does the house have parking?

Due to its proximity to the centre of the town and the main shopping street, the house does not have its own driveway or parking. However, there is a small carpark right beside it about three doors up. Parking in the car parks on average can be a little as €4 per day and there are at least a half a dozen carparks within five minutes walk from the house.

How close is it to the Main Street?

The house is situated on a road that is just off the main street. It is extremely convenient to all the shops, restaurants, pubs, opera house, train station and sea front. 

Is the house suitable for babies and young infants?

Regretfully the house is not suitable nor is it equipped for babies and young infants under the age of six years. Plus the staircases are quite steep and the front door opens out onto a busy road. 

Is it a no smoking house.?

This is very strictly a NO SMOKING and NO VAPING property. We are very adamant about this rule for several reasons including fire hazard. Nor do we tolerate candles or any other naked flame including incense.

What kind of heating do you have for the winter months?

The house is equipped with modern electric radiators throughout, which throw out a lot of heat very quickly. The house is well insulated and the windows are double glazed. There is also a tall electric heater in the bathroom and the water can be heated quickly with a modern immersion heater. The shower unit is a self heating T 90, a widely used, popular unit.

Privately owned by Wil & Sharon, One Allen Street is a newly refurbished, privately owned, boutique Georgian facade 3 story townhouse, located in the heart of Wexford town, Ireland.  The house retains a few of the original period features, including its lovely swan neck handrails which adorn the staircase over three floors. 

We pride ourselves on providing a unique and comfortable experience for our guests. Our  unrivalled  town-centre location allows you to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and history of Wexford.
